Monterey Bay Chapter celebrated the holiday season with a high tea held at La Mirada Art Museum, a former adobe home, built by early settlers of California.
We have been contributing ikebana in the entrance for many years. The Museum provided the space and we welcomed the guests of the Museum as well as Ikebana members to our tea.
Member Francie Blinks provided Christmas carols on the grand piano accompanied by Ms. Paul on her flute.
Beverly Corbett, a former docent at the museum, led narrated tours of the home. La Mirada also has beautiful gardens most of the year.
Ikebana arrangements were provided by president, June Matsuoka, members Chieko Buxton, Beverly Corbett, Mary Finney Gold, Betty Jetter, Kozue Knowles, and Carol Marchette.
The arrangements will remain in the museum for the week.
